It also addresses strengthening international collaborations between academics, government, and non-governmental organizations. 11 partners from 6 different countries involved in the project. We are one of the finalist in T-DEB programme.

The T-DEB program is funded by Innovate UK‘s Newton Fund. It aims to develop innovation in Turkey and promote collaboration between British and Turkish institutions. We attended the program to develop our LIBS project and find possible partners to collaborate.

Accomplished Projects

Measurement of the amount of nitrogen and other plant nutrient elements in soil via laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) for fertilization programs


The project encompasses measuring nitrogen (N) amount in the soil for determining fertilizer needs of the soil for agriculture. Besides, LIBS approach will not only detect the N amount but also other elements such as phosphorus, carbon and potassium can be measured. Since it will be portable, it will save the time for the researchers and the farmers. Also, current methods are expensive and not feasible. Therefore, the portable device will be a breakthrough for agriculture.

LIBS method is based on sending laser radiation to surface and form a plasma which gives us the relevant measurement. LIBS has been on the march to detect elements because of high accuracy results. Thus, it is a great advanced method for measuring soil elements.

One of the outcomes of this project is supply application for the farmers so that they can enter the results from the LIBS device and get the appropriate amount of fertilizer for their crops. The project was funded by T.C. Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock which will assist us to integrate our project outcomes with the Turkish Agriculture Information System.


Ecofriendly Solution for Macrophyte Overgrowth in Lake Karagöl, Benthic Barrier Approach

It was funded by T.C. Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Directorate of 9th Region for four years. Lake Karagöl is located in Ankara and has been suffering from an overgrowth of macrophytes. The research was conducted to determine possible reasons for the invasion and provide an eco-friendly solution for the lake. The benthic barrier approach is developed and applied by our company for the first time in Turkey. It restricts sunlight and takes control of the invasion of macrophytes. The water quality of the lake improved after four years of application. The oxygen concentration inclined up to a sufficient amount for fish survival. Prototype Development for Forensic Science Center Exhibition

The project was supported by TUBİTAK 1511 Programme. The aim of the project is to encourage citizens to involve in science and raise awareness on the importance of science in our daily life. The forensic science exhibition includes several booths such as matching tire track or footprints, learning psychological tests and getting help animals and plants to find the criminal. The content of the exhibition is designed depending on the age group so that several distinct materials were designed in the project. With this project, our company increased capabilities on the product development and networking with science centers.

Preparate Development for  Soil and Agricultural products to Avoid Fungal Diseases 

The project was funded by KOSGEB R&D Innovation and Industrial Applied Support Programme. Fungi is the most preferred pesticides. Even, synthetic pesticides are effective and cheaper they threats human health and nature. If they are overused, insects become resistant. Our project is the alternative to synthetic fungus pesticides. The prototype is completed and tested in 2013.

Remediation of Soil from Pesticides with the Help of Microorganisms (2009-2010)

The project was funded by T.C. Ministry of Industry and Technology Technoenterprise Fund. The project was succesfully accomplished by designing the prototype. At the end of the project the great know-how was generated for further projects to pesticide remediation.

Within the scope of this project, the collaborators are:

Biological Mine Detection System (2009-2012)

The project won first place at 2008 METU New ideas New Bussiness Genereal Category. It is supported by TÜBİTAK TEYDEB 1507 R&D Innovation Fund and  KOSGEB R&D Innovation Fund. The outcome of the project can be used to detect several kind of chemical substances with microorganisms.
